Training Opportunities

VMC provides professional development training conferences in the field of early childhood education for child care providers and administrators that promote age-appropriate developmental activities that are relevant and researched based.

As a result of the training conferences and the instructional lessons from approved child care experts, child care providers from across the State have been able to gain numerous contact hours and continuing education units.

Conference Goals Outcome

Over the years, VMC has met and exceeded all of its planned goals.  With these achievements, VMC can be credited with assisting the State:

• By equipping child care providers with the education and skills needed to enhance and improve their knowledge of teaching young children,

• By strengthening the employability of child care providers, thus making in road to increasing the net worth of child care providers, and

• By serving as a resource center and support system for child care workers in rural Mississippi and across the nation.
