History

Voices for Mississippi’s Children, Inc. (VMC) understands the importance and need of quality child care in the State of Mississippi and for over 20 years, this non-profit statewide professional membership organization recognizes that every child deserves a safe, healthy, and stimulating childhood and learning environment. Our work is dedicated to making this a reality for all children.   VMC has been true to its mission of improving and expanding services that result in a higher quality of services and life for Mississippi’s children, childcare providers and families statewide.

Purpose

VMC is a group of advocates dedicated to making a difference in the decisions that affect early childhood education across Mississippi.

Our organization consists of a diverse group of child care advocates, working parents, and businesses across the state, who are striving to ensure that quality child care services are available to Mississippi families.

The growing concerns of child care specialists across the state are mounting, including lack of affordable training, therefore the best way to improve quality in early care and education is through enhancing professional development training.
